This thrill-of-a-lifetime adventure includes all sections of the Kicking Horse River! The day begins with a scenic float and an introduction to white water, followed by a delicious riverside steak BBQ lunch. The afternoon consists of exciting class 3 and 4 white water rapids on the middle Kicking Horse River, a short portage and then another 3 kilometres of unbelievable continuous class 4 rapids in the notorious lower Kicking Horse canyon.

This river adventure is ideal for all, from first-time rafters to those extreme sports enthusiasts who visit the river every summer. The Kicking Horse Challenge boasts the most rapids on the Kicking Horse River making it the best way to cool off on a hot summer's day!

This trip can only be run at certain water levels and is subject to substitution if water levels become too high. If this should occur, we will run the middle canyon section of white water twice. Not to worry, at high water this is guaranteed to put a smile on the face of even the most experienced. Remember, no two runs are ever the same!

An exciting full-day whitewater adventure in the Canadian Rockies!

Covering the upper and middle sections of the Kicking Horse River, our Classic trip brings wild whitewater and spectacular scenery together to entertain youth and adults alike. Start your day relaxing while you meander through the beautiful scenic float section of the Kicking Horse River. This is a great opportunity for you to practice your paddling techniques and get accustomed to the raft before you hit the whitewater. First we hit Hopi's Hole, a class 3 wave guaranteed to get you wet and put a smile on your face. Five minutes later we stop for our famous and fantastic riverside steak BBQ lunch . After lunch is when the exciting whitewater trip really kicks into gear. The whitewater begins with 'Portage and Shotgun', a kilometre stretch of Class 4, followed by many more Class 3 rapids.

This rafting adventure is ideal for those looking for a more intermediate whitewater experience, or for those too young to ride the Lower canyon.
